Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three members of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) along with some jihadi books from Chatigram in sadar upazila early Thursday.
The arrestees were identified as Harunur Rashid, 48, son of Bisharad Ali of Chatra area, Abdur Rahman, 56, son of Gias Uddin of Chakla area and Golam Azam, 39, son of Samsuddin of Koyladier area of the upazila.
Tipped off, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive in the area around 12:30
am and arrested them along with four jihadi books, two jihadi magazines, a mobile phone set, a SIM card, two torch lights, two lighters and two candles.
