3 JMB activists held in city

Three members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were arrested by the the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit from Kamalapur Railway Station in city.
CTTC unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police launched the drive on Wednesday night.
Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of CTTC Unit told the media
that JMB members were planning the conspiracy to carry out target killing ahead of election and unleash sabotage on the thirty first night in Cox’s Bazar.
Hakim, who joined JMB in 2013, is the regional head of Cox’s Bazar region. He used to sell unwanted books before joining JMB.
Noman is the chief of Chattogram region and Shafi is also a member of JMB.
 Around 30 commando knives, 30 IED containers, and 1.5 kg gunpowder were also seized from the spot.
