Police arrested three leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami from Rajshahi and Satkhira districts on charge of acts of sabotage.
In Rajshahi, police arrested Abu Yusuf Mohammad Selim, 50, nayeb-e-ameer of Rajshahi Jamaat and Waliul Islam Tipu, 47, ameer of Motihar thana Jamaat, from separate areas of the city.
Mohammad Kafi, son of Abu Yusuf, said plainclothes police riding 7-8 motorcycles came to their house around 10 pm and picked his father up.

Besides, police arrested Waliul Islam from Mizaner Crossing under Motihar thana around 9:30 pm, said Ifte Khayer Alam, senior assistant commissioner and spokesperson of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
He said the law enforcers had information that they were planning to carry out acts of sabotage.
