The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained three people while they were entering the country from India illegally.
The BGB detained them from a bordering area in Maheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah district early Friday.
Quamrul Hasan, Assistant Director of BGB Battalion-58, said a BGB patrol team detained them from Shyamkur village of the Upazila around 3:30 am.
During primary interrogation, the detainees claimed that they went to the neighbouring country for having treatment, he said, adding they were handed over to Maheshpur Police Station.
