Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Bogura on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Hanzella, 27, son of Rafiqul of Dewanai Sahapur village of Shibganj upazila, Rani, 18, HSC student of Mahi Sawar Degree College and Robin, 24, of Shajahanpur, son of Khairul Driver of Muradpur village. The accidents took place early Monday near Chowkirghat and Shajahanpur of Dhaka-Rangpur highway. Police sources said, the accident occurred due to a head-on collusion with a truck loaded with pavement. As a result, two people were killed on the spot.
On the other hand, a motorcyclist, 24, was killed when a truck hit him at Shahjahanpur in Bogura. The accident took place at around 8:00am on the road of village Kamarpara in the upazila on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Robin, son of Mamun Mia of Chungguir village of Ashekpur union of Shajahanpur upazila. He worked in a pharmaceutical company.
Officer-in-Charge of Shajahanpur Police Station Nazim Uddin said he was going to work on Monday morning with a motorcycle. On the way, he was hit by a truck coming from a brick kiln on a road in the village of Kamarpara.
He died on the spot. Relatives took the body before the police reached the scene. The truck was confiscated. However, the driver and helper of the truck could not be held.
