Three including E-orange owner Sonia Mahzabin, her husband Masuqur Rahman and Chief Operating Officer Aman Ullah were yesterday sent to the jail on completion of their five days’ remand.
Metropolitan Magis-trate Baki Billah of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order rejecting their bail pleas on Thursday.
On August 23, the court placed them on five days remand. Earlier, Gulshan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Aminul Islam produced them in the court seeking permission of the court to keep the in the jail.
On August 17, victim customer Md Taherul Islam filed the case against the company, claiming he had been a victim of fraud when 37 other victims of embezzlement were present.
The case accuses the suspects of defrauding 100,000 customers of Tk 11 billion by taking advance payments for goods, without delivering them.
