Three people including a college student and an Imam of local mosque have gone missing from the upazila for last five days.
The missing are identified as Sharif Hossain, about 18 years old, son of Anwar Hossain Ripon, a resident of Aragaon area under Ashulia Police Station and a second year student of Ashulia Doshaid AK School and College, Ibrahim Khalil, about 27 years old, Imam of Shahibag Baitush Salat Jam-e-Masjid and Shakil Mia, about 23 years old, a readymade garments worker of the area.
Family sources said Sharif Hossain went out from the home on December 16 and did not come back. His mobile phone has been found switched off since the day.
Police sources said Ibrahim Khalil and Shakil Mia had been missing from Friday last and their mobile phones also found switched off.
The family members of the victims passed their days with fear and they filed general diaries with Savar and Ashulia Police Stations in these connections.
They are trying to trace the missing people, police said.
