3 including ‘child pornographer’ held

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested three persons, including one Tipu Kibria (35), suspecting his link to the international child’s pornographic activities. The other two arrested persons are Nurul Ameen and Sharul Islam.
They were arrested in the city’s Mugdapara and Khilgaon areas on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. The CID rescued a male child from them and seized a laptop, two personal computers (PC), high qualified hard disks, general cameras, video cameras, more than hundred Compact Disks (CD) and other elements.
Mokhlesur Rahman, Additional Inspector General (AIG) of the CID, said it in a press conference at Malibagh office in the capital on Thursday afternoon.  
He said that the CID police arrested them after getting information from the International Police Organization (Interpol).
“Interpol raised an allegation that a large number of Bangladeshi pornographic photos of children had been sent to various countries, including Germany, United Kingdom, Australia and Saudi Arabia, said an official of the CID.
He added that the Interpol in 2014 identified Tipu.
About a week ago, the Interpol also informed the CID that Tipu was the owner of a studio where porno films were made. The studio is situated at Mugdapara in the city, the official said.
After getting the information about Tipu from the Interpol, a cyber team of the CID police launched a drive to arrest him from his residence at Tarabag in Khilgaon early Wednesday, CID sources said.
The sources added that the cyber team arrested Nurul and Sharul from a studio shop at Mugdapara on receipt of information from Tipu. Tipu gave a confessional statement that he had a link with the incident.
He added that they got enough evidences that the Tipu exchanged money with a German and Saudi nationals.  
Tipu had been working with the monthly publication ‘Mystery’ and he is the author of more than 50 books and his real name is Fakhruzzaman, he further said.
Shah Alam said that they rescued a boy (13) and CDs, laptops, video cameras from the studio. The rescued boy is now under the CID police custody in the capital.
He said that an international gang led by Tipu, has been making children based pornographic CDs and spreading in the international market over Internet for many years.
