UNB, Chittagong :
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three suspected members of the banned Islamic outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh from Muradpur in the city’s Panchlaish area early Monday.
The arrestees were identified as advocate Nur Mohammad, 29, Muntasir Alam, 28, a teacher of local English medium school, and Salahuddin, 28, a student of Government City College.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-7 raided the house of Nur Mohammad and arrested them while they were holding a meeting around 3 am, said deputy director of RAB (media) ASP Sohel Mahmud.
Mahmud said, the RAB members also recovered
some leaflets of the banned Islamic outfit, a copy of the constitution, a laptop and some jihadi books from their possessions. “The arrestees are the active members of the Islamic outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh,” he added.
