Police in a drive arrested at least three activists of the banned outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir Bangladesh from city’s North Badda area on Wednesday night.
The arrested men have identified as Amzad Hossain Sujan, 34, Nurul Alam, 27, and Mahmudul Alam Anik, 18, police said. Badda Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) M A Jalil said that a team of police arrested them from the Alir Mor area of North Badda around 9:00pm.
Police recovered some leaflets and a banner from their possession, the police official said.
Legal action would be taken against them as per the law, the OC said.
