Three people were injured, including two with bullet, in an attack by some local miscreants at a rickshaw garage in the city’s Rayerbag area on Saturday.
The injured were identified as Arif Hossain, 32, Md Khokon,35, and Younus,55, all are rickshaw traders.
The incident occurred around 11:30 am at the garage located at Sadek Khan Lane in Rayerbag, reports UNB.
Injured Arif said he used to keep his rickshaws in the garage .
Earlier, some local goons returned Tk 60,000 which they paid as advance money to keep the rickshaws there and asked them to vacate
the garage immediately, he said.
“We requested to give us some time but on Saturday 25 men attacked us. They beat us up and at one point opened fire on us and ran away,” said Arif.
Mohasin Ali, sub-Inspector of Hazaribag police station said, the injured were admitted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Arif suffered bullet wounds on his leg and Khokon in his stomach, he said.
Legal action will be taken in this regard after filing a complaint, he said
