Police claimed that local people detained three suspected miscreants with six petrol bombs as they were roaming around on a private car in front of a 12-storied building in the city’s Segunbagicha area Monday afternoon.
They also beat up the miscreants and handed
over them to the police, said Mashiur Rahman, Office-in-Charge of Ramna Police Station.
The detained persons are: Anisur Rahman, 45, Abdul Jalil, 42 and Zahir Uddin, 45.
Police, with the help of local people, detained the trio along with six petrol bombs and seized their car around 1:30pm, the OC also said.
At one stage, agitated people gave them a good thrashing, leaving them injured, the police official said.
They were later admitted into Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. A case was filed in this connection, he said.
