Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three suspected drug peddlers along with 34,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from the city’s Uttara area on Monday.
“We arrested three drug peddlers, Tuhin Ali,25, Md Bappi,25, and Mohammad Ali Hridoy and seized 34,000 yaba tablets from a house of 13 no sector of Uttara around 9:30pm Monday,” senior assistant police super and also assistant director of RAB media told BSS on Tuesday.
“The estimated value of the seized yaba is Taka 1.70 crore,” he said, adding that they also recovered four mobile phone sets, and a private car using in transporting drugs. Legal action was taken to this end.
