Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained at least three drug dealers from the city’s Motijheel area on Monday evening.
About 3,000 pieces of contraband yaba pills were recovered also from under their possession.
The detainees were identified as Md Nazim, 36,
Md, Abdul Haque, 23, and Billal Hossain, 24.
Confirming the information, ADC of DMP South Zone, Ahsanuzzaman said that police raided the spot when a group of drug smugglers were carrying a large consignment of the banned drug from in front of Motijil Ideal School & College.
On the basis of such information, our team reached the spot and arrested them with huge yaba pills.
A case was also filed with the Motijheel Police Station under Narcotics Control Act, ADC added.
