3 held with 2535 Yaba tabs

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a man in possession of 1,935 pieces of Yaba tablet from Naitongpara village in Teknaf upazila on Saturday night.
The detained was identified as Shawkat, 22, son of Siddik Ahmed, a resident of the same village.
Lt Col Abu Jar Al Jahid, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-42, said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Shawkat around 10:00 pm.
Later, the BGB team recovered 1,935 pieces of Yaba tablet searching his body.
A case was filed in this connection.
Another report adds: Chittagong metropolitan police arrested two drug peddlers with 600 pieces of yaba tablets in a drive at city’s Shah Amanat bridge area in the early Saturday .
The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Abdul Karim, 45, and Mohammad Farid, 21, both of them hailed from Cox’s Bazar district.
Bakalia thana police on secret information conducted a drive at city’s Shah Amanat Bridge area at 3.45am yesterday and arrested the drug traders with 600 pieces yaba tablets. A case was filed with Bakalia police station in this connection.
