Law enforcers arrested three students of Dhaka University for their alleged involvement in extorting money by leaking fake questions to examinees.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Sunday placed them on two-day remand each after they were produced in the court on the charge.
Police arrested three from Hazaribagh area of the city at 8 pm last night, said Md Nazmul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Cybercrime Division. Fake question papers were recovered from their possession, he said.
The accused have been identified as Imran Khasru, student of English department and a resident of Surya Sen Hall; Ahsan Habib, student of Linguistics department and a resident of Surya Sen Hall; and Rakib, student of Linguistics department and a resident of Mohsin Hall.
They were shown arrested in a case filed with Hazaribagh Police Station.
