Law enforcers in a joint drive arrested three people on suspicion of having militant link from different char areas in Daulatpur upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Abul Bashar, principal of Baghutia Alim Madrasah, Isak Ali and Shah Alam, teachers of Kazi Shafiuddin Dakhil Madrasah. Mahfuzur Rahman, superintendent of police, Manikganj, said a joint team comprising 200 members of Rapid Action Battalion-4 (RAB), Armed Police Battalion and Detective Branch of police, launched the drive in Char Katari, Baghutia,
Ziyanpur and Banchamora union of the upazila early in the morning. They arrested three people for their suspected militant link. The arrestees are now being interrogated, said the police super.
