Three gamblers were arrested in a police operation in Ishwardi on Sunday. Police Officer-in-Charge Asaduzzaman Asad confirmed the arrest of Jabed Ali (40), Khokon Ali (32) and Selim (30) while they were gambling on Sunday night from Ambagan area of the city.
The operation was led by Ishwardi police outpost inspector Mohammad Shahidul Islam. Shahidul Islam said the gamblers were arrested on the orders of Pabna Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan. During this time, playing cards and Tk. 3,960 were seized. There are several cases against them in the police station.
After filing a case with the police station, the arrested have been sent to Pabna Jail.
