Three female students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have allegedly been sexually harassed by a police personnel.
Meanwhile, the accused- an assistant sub inspector was closed to the district police lines following written complaints by the victims to the Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell on Thursday.
According to the complaint, the three female students of Mathematics department were harassed by a ASI Mizanur Rahman while they along with other friends watching cricket match at the university playground on Wednesday afternoon.
Connected, president of the cell Professor Yasmeen Haque said that she was aware of the matter.
Officer in-Charge of Jalalabad Police Station Akhter Hossain said, the police man was closed immediately on receiving the allegation.
