Three workers died from electrocution while hanging a billboard at Birulia in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Hashem, 22, Mamtaz, 32, Anu, 26. All of them were residents of Manda in Mugda area of the capital.
Local people said four workers got electrocuted when they came in contact with a live electric wire from an electric pole while hanging a billboard of a housing project in the afternoon.
They were rushed to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared three of them dead.
Mostafa Kamal, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, confirmed the incident.
