Three people have been killed in Chittagong after an autorickshaw fell into a canal electrified by a hanging power line.
The accident occurred early on Wednesday on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway near Patia College Bazar, said Patia Highway Station OC ABM Mizanur Rahman. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Noor and his two nephews Shahadat Hossain and Abdul Mannan. The three hail from Cox’s Bazar Pekua.
The autorickshaw driver lost control of his vehicle around 1:30 am and it overturned into a ditch, OC Mizanur told bdnews24.com.
