A devastating fire occurred at Naikhain village under Junglekhain union of Patiya upazila in the district recently caused three dwelling houses gutted into ashes. Fire victims family sources said properties of about Tk.40 lakh gutted in the fire .
The fire originated from the kitchen woven of Puti Rani Barua which engulfed the neighbouring semi pucca houses of Subash Chandra Barua and Dijen Barua .
All kinds of furnitures, fixtures, land documents, educational certificates including important documents of these three houses gutted into ashes. Fire services mobile unit brought the fire under control after 3 hours hectic efforts.
Chairman of Junglekhain Union Alhaj Gazi Md. Idris visited the fire affected houses and expressed sympathy to the fire victims. Chairman distributed essential commodities like rice, dhal, vegetable oil etc and winter clothes to the victims and also assured to provide govt’s help in future .
