Three students of Dhaka University (DU) Economics Department have been awarded “Prof Nazma Begum Trust Fund Scholarship” on Tuesday for their outstanding academic results.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed scholarships among the students as chief guest at a function at the VC’s lounge.
DU Treasurer Prof M Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Economics Department Chairperson and donor of the trust Prof Nazma Begum addressed it as special guest.
Prof Arefin Siddique urged the students to work for socio-economic development of the country.
The recipients of scholarships are- ABM Kawser Zaman (SM Wazed Scholarship), Kazi Salsabil Oishi (Momena Begum Scholarship) and Rifat Alam Nidhi (Abul Hasnat Mahmud Scholarship).
