Police arrested three drug dealers along with 6,000 yaba in Lohagara on Wednesday night. They were sent to jail through the court on Thursday. The detainees are Zahirul Islam Jasim son of Zakir Hossain of Kaliakandi area of Narayanganj, Mofizul Islam Mithu son of Zafar Ali and Robin Mia son of Sultan Mia of Munshiganj Gazaria Baluakandi area.
A team of Lohagara police on Wednesday night searched a Chittagong-bound private car in front of the Chunati Forest Range office on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway, police said. At that time 6 thousand yaba was found in that car. Three persons of the vehicle were arrested and the vehicle was seized on the charge of being involved in drug trafficking.
OC Zakir Hossain Mahmud said a case was filed against the detainees under the Narcotics Control Act. They were sent to jail through a Chittagong court on Thursday.
