At least three people died and five sustained injuries as an engine boat capsized in the Sator Hoar in Shalla Upazila upazila of Sanamgonj district on Sunday afternoon.
Police and locals said the boat carrying about 15 passengers was heading for Sator Hoar in Shalla upazila under Sonamgonj district.
The deadbody were identified as Rafana Begum (28) wife of Imrul Mia and his daughter Jony Akter (6) student of class one and Priti Akter (4) daughter of Sadakur Rahman at Dhampur village in Shalla Upazila.
Others passengers and crew could get out of the trawler and swim ashore. One passenger named Jostna Begum (40), wife of Kabir Mia was missing.
On information, a rescue team rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
