Three persons including a child were killed in separate incidents in Chittagong on Monday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Mim Paul, 6, hailed from Shakpura village under Boalkhali Upazila and Nadia, 15, hailed from Rahmatpur village under Sandwip upazila of the district.
Sources concerned said Mim was bitten by a poisonous snake while she was playing near her house around 11:00am and was rushed to Upazila Health Complex.
Later, she was shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where attending doctors declared her dead.
Meanwhile, Sandwip police recovered the body of Nadia, a class nine student of Rahmatpur High School under Sandwip upazila, from a paddy field near Sutola Colony area of Rahmatpur village around 1:00pm. The body was sent to CMCH morgue for autopsy, police said.
Besides, police also recovered an unidentified body of a man, aged about 35, from the Karnaphuli River at BN Dockyard Gate area around 12:30pm. The body was sent to CMCH morgue for autopsy.
