Atleast 3 passengers died in an engine boat capsize at Kakuria Haor in Kalma Union under Austagram Upazila of Kishoreganj district on Wednesday midnight.
The victim were identified as Aftab Uddin (35), Sohel Mia (30) and Rajab Ali (52) at Gagra village under Mithamoin Upazila.
Most of he passengers and crew could get out of the trawler and swim ashore.
On information, a rescue team rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Officer-In-Charge of Austragram Police Station KamrulIslam Mollah said that the boat was carrying about 100 passengers.
