Staff Reporter: Three people died in a boat capsized in Kaptai lake in Rangamati on Friday morning.
Witnesses said that the engine-run boat was boarded with tourists who was travelling there in the Valentine day.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.The boat was heading towards Sublang from Rangamati DC’s Bungalow area.
Sufi Ullah, Additional Superintendent of Rangamati police confirmed the news.
The bodies were taken to Rangamati General Hospital.Meanwhile, three people went missing after a picnic boat capsized in Karnaphuli river in the very same time.
The missing people are identified as Tumpa Rani Majumder, 30, Deblila Majumder, 10, and Binoy, Majumder 5. They were a family members, but details have been found immediately.
