RAB has arrested three persons from Mitil village of Champapur union in Adamdighi upazila of Bogra. RAB-12 SI Shafiqul Islam filed a case with Adamdighi Police Station on Tuesday night. It is learned that a team of Bogra RAB-12 raided Mitil village of Champapur union of the upazila on Tuesday afternoon on the basis of secret information and arrested three persons including a stone idol and an altar.
The arrested are Ismail Hossain, 63, son of Kazem Haji of Mitil village, Akkas Ali, 42, son of Abbas Ali of Buril village in Kahalu upazila and Badal Chandra, 34, son of Malin Chandra of Bantdighi village in Nandigram upazila. Kishore Roy, special company commander of RAB-12, said the three were arrested from Mitil village in Adamdighi on the basis of secret information. A stone statue worth Rs 1.5 crore, an altar, three mobile phones, five SIM cards and Rs 1,500 in cash were recovered from them.
