The country will inaugurate vegetable fair and national vegetable exhibition on January 17 in a bid to ensure safe vegetable production and its smooth supply to the consumers. The fair is first of its kind in the country.
A three-day-long fair will be held at city’s Milky premises (Khamar bari) at Farmgate with a view to display nearly 142 varieties of vegetables of the country.
A preparatory meeting in this connection was held at Agriculture Ministry recently with agriculture secretary Shyamal Kanti Ghosh in the chair.
