A three-day international power exhibition is going to take place in the city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on 13-15 November.
Event management firm – CEMS – will organize the mega expo on power generation and transmission, solar power and renewable energy in partnership with leading private company Rahimafrooz Group.
Organisers said different local and international companies of equipment manufacturers and technology providers will take part in the exhibition to showcase their products and services.
Prime Minister’s Energy Advisor Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury will inaugurate the show.
Addressing a press conference at Jatiya Press Club, CEMS managing director Mehrin N Islam said the power expo will be divided into three parts and in three separate names to showcase three types of products and services in the power sector.
These are “13th Power Bangladesh” for power equipment; “8th Solar Power for solar service and equipment”; and “RE-Power” for showing the equipment and technology on renewable energy.
Besided, an exhibition on civil construction material will take place at the same time on the BICC premises, she said.
Mehrin N Islam said product manufacturers and technology providers from different countries including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UK and USA will participate in the exhibitions.
Rahimafrooz official NP Saha said one of the main purposes of the mega exhibition is to present the latest products and technology in the power, solar power and other renewable energy sectors at a single place to create awareness among the people.
He said Rahimafrooz remained engaged in IDCOL’s solar home systems and other solar programmes to reach the non-conventional power to the people who are living in the areas where conventional power is not available.
