The three-day match between hosts Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Under-17 team and touring Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) U-17 team ended in draw on the 3rd and final day at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday. Replying to CAB’s 257 runs in the first innings, BCB U-17 team resumed the first innings with overnight total of 265 for 6 and scored a formidable total of 403 runs in 120.3 overs, featuring a double century by Shamim Patwari.Number five batsman Shamim Patwari, who was in batting with 161 runs, hammered an impressive innings of 226 runs off 286 balls featuring 21 fours and 10 sixes, before falling victim of lbw by match highest wicket taker Tribrit Roy.Another night watch batsman Shahadat Hossain (11) scored 21 off 79 balls including one six, while lower order Ishaq Ali remained not out on 30 runs hitting one four and Sharif Islam scorede 31-ball 29 runs with three fours and one six, apart from Aminul Islam’s 28, Ratul Khan 26 and Sojibul Islam 19 runs.Tribrit Roy was the most successful among the CAB bowlers taking six wickets for 121 runs while Kaushik Maity grabbed the other four wickets conceding 132 runs.In reply, CAB Under-17 team opened the 2nd innings in the afternoon and scored 121 for 3 in 60 overs when the bails were draw for the final day (Sunday).
