East West University (EWU) Photography Club organized a 3-day international photography exhibition to celebrate its 19 glorious years. The exhibition titled ‘Photo Fest Asia 2019’ held at EWU Campus, Aftabnagar in the city from 21 to 23 this month.
There were 87 photos from 11 countries were selected for the exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated by Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU and Prof Dr MM Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor, EWU. On the occasion, Shoeb Faruquee, a renowned photographer of the country, was honored and given the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
Of the nearly eight thousand pictures only 87 photos are selected for final display in three categories. The juries were awarded 8 photographers of this exhibition under 3 categories.
Among others, M Sayeed Alam and Naharin Binte Rab, Moderators of the EWU Photography Club, Kawsar Ahmed, President of the Club, and members of the club were present on the occasion. A large number of viewers also visited the exhibition.
