Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested three dacoits from city’s Biyazid thana area in the early hours of Tuesday Police also recovered two LG guns, 11 cartridges and three knives from their possessions.
The arrestees were identified as Forkan Uddin, 34, Harunur Rashid, 32, and Rajib, 24.
Based on secret information, a team of Biyazid thana police arrested them from two separate areas under the police station at around 3 am today while they were taking preparations to commit robbery.
Sensing the presence of law enforcers, other dacoits fled from the scene leaving three behind. Police arrested three dacoits with the firearms and ammunitions.A case was filed with Biyazid thana in this connection.
