Three Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of Chittagong University (CU) unit have been suspended for two months on charge of assaulting a journalist on Monday.
The accused were identified as Shawkat Ali and Saifuddin Kaled, student of Political Science Department and Rakibul Hasan, student of History department, all are BCL activists of shuttle train-based group “Concord”
Ali Asgar Chowdhury, Proctor of CU confirmed the news. He said on Sunday morning they assaulted a campus reporter Rakib Kamal of a national daily.Later, Rakib submitted a written complaint to the university authority and the university took the decision, he said.
