3 CoU students to get ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal’

A total of 3 students of Comilla University (CoU) will receive Prime Minister Gold Medal for their outstanding results this year. A student are Arupa Sarker who secured highest CGPA in BBA (Accounting) with a minimum grade of 3.95 out of 4, Samia Taher of BSc in Mathematics with a CGPA of 3.82 out of 4 and Md. Nazmul Haq of Public Administration with a CGPA of 3.88 out of 4, said Mujibur Rahman Majumder, the Registrar of Comilla University. The University Grants Commission (UGC) wanted the nominee from all the public university for the medal. CoU authority had sent a list of three students which is approved and selected by the UGC for the Prime Minister Gold Medal, also stated the Registrar.
In an instant repercussion, Arupa and Samia told The New Nation that they are very happy with the news.They thanked to Almighty and then expressed gratitude to their family, friends, and the teachers. Arupa dreams to be a teacher and to dedicate herself for the sake of the country. On the other hand, Samia wants to be a banker. Nazmul wants to contribute in the field of public administration over the country.
The students and the guardians opined that this great initiative will inspire and encourage students to concentrate on their academic excellence.
