At least 10 persons, including three cops, were killed and 40 others critically injured in several road crashes across the country on Friday.
In Bagerhat, two rider of a bike were killed in a tragic road crash when a truck rammed them in Fakirhat Upazila of the district on Friday evening.
The identity of the deceased couldn’t be known yet.
Rabiul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Katakhali Highway Police confirmed the news to the media.
In Dinajpur, at least two transport workers were killed when a rod-laden trolley overturned at Banshjhar area under Phulbari upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The deceased were–Aminul Islam, 27, son of one Mukul Hossain of Durgapur village of Birampur upazila, and trolley worker Al-Amin, 17, son of one Tota Mia of Kishto Chandpur village of the same upazila.
Fakhrul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Phulbari Police Station told media.
In Naogaon, two members of Detective Branch (DB) of district police were killed in a road crash when they fell on the ground after its driver lost control over the steering in Dhamoirhat upazila of Naogaon on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Basir Uddin and Constable Munir Uddin. They were posted at the Detective Branch (DB) of Naogaon police.
KM Samsuddin, Officer in-Charge (OC) of the district DB, said.
In Rangpur, at least two persons were killed and 17 others injured when a truck hit a bus in Pirganj upazila of the district on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Abdur Rahman, 48 and sus Supervisor Saddam Hossain.
Moazzem Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Pirganj Highway Police confirmed the news to the media.
In Sirajganj, a member of police was killed in a motorcycle accident in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj on Friday afternoon.
Deceased Rubel Hossain, 24 worked at Bogura Highway Police Station. He hailed from Sirajganj’s Tarash upazila.
Tarash Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman said.
In Munshiganj, a youth named Sahid Hossain, 24, was killed when a vehicle hit him in Anarpura area under Gazaria upazila of the district on Thursday night.
