Three construction workers have died falling from a 10- storied building from BNS Titumir located Khalishpur area in the city on Tuesday noon.
The deceased were identified as Md Sayem, 20, son of Md Mohidul Islam, hailing from village North Deshbari in Jaldanga Upazila of Nilphamari. Md Ramjan, 35, son of Abdur Rahim and Md Nur Alam 18, son of Nur Islam.
Eye-witnesses said, the constructions workers were working of plaster at the 10 -storied building, while they were working at 8th floor, they suddenly fell for breaking Scaffold. They were hurt critically and as such the naval persons brought them to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty Dibyendu Sarkar declared them dead.
Dr. Dibyendu Sarkar, Physician of Emergency Department said due to getting hurt on head, the construction workers succumbed to their injuries.
Sonali Sen, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) who is also the spokes person of media wing KMP said, during working at a ten storied under construction building in BNS Titumir Compound, the three workers were injured critically and they died.
Dead bodies of the workers were sent to KMCH morgue for autopsies and UD (unnatural death) cases were filed in connection with the incident, source added.
