Three construction workers have fallen to their death from a high-rise building at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Dhanmondi Police Station Inspector Parvez Islam said the mishap occurred at an
under-construction building of real estate firm Concord on road no. 5 next to the Central Hospital around 4:15pm on Friday.
The victims have been identified as Md Saidul, 35, Md Mokhles, 20, and Md Monirul, 45.
Parvez said the three fell from the 12th floor when the ropes of the wooden platform they were working on tore.
Co-workers took Saidul to the Central Hospital and Mokhles and Monirul to Dhaka Medical College Hospital but the doctors pronounced them brought dead, the inspector said.
The building authorities were not immediately available for comments.
