Three children have died in two separate cases of drowning at Subarnachar Upazila in Noakhali.
They were found dead in two ponds at Keramatpur village on Wednesday evening, said Charclerk Union Chairman Abul Bashar.
Two of the victims were siblings who went to wash up in a pond near their house.
Bodies of Omar, 10, and Amena, 7, were later recovered from the pond.
Al-Amin, just over a year old, died around the same time.
His family was visiting their aunt’s home. His family members could not say how he drowned in the pond belonging to his uncle Saber, a village headman.
Their bodies have been buried as no complaints were filed with the police, said Charjabbar Police OC Nizam Uddin.
