Three officials of Chittagong City Corporation ( CCC) accused with alleged corruption faced the probe team of the Local Govt Division at city corporation on Thursday .
The probe team of the Ministry heard the statement of these three accused at CCC office on Thursday afternoon. The accused officials are former chief Inspector(Advt) Abul Mansur, secretary of CCC Rashid Ahmed and Deputy Secratry Saifuddin Mahmud Katebi.
The officials of Heath Department complained to the ministry against these three officials for their alleged corruption and irregularities . The probe team consists of Additional secretary of Local Govt Ministry Sourendra Natha and the Senior Assttl. Secretary Jahid Hossain. They gave patient hearings to these three accused during cross examinations.
The concerned officials of CCC submitted written reply to the probe committee sources said. Mentionable that proprietor of the Sky Star, a CCC related Ad agency could not appear before the probe committee as he is staying in Dhaka due to his ill health condition, sources said.
