Three cases were filed on Wednesday night with Akbarshah thana in connection with lynching of three alleged robbers at in the city’s north Kattali area.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Shahjahan of Akbar Shah thana, filed first and second cases against eight people for taking preparation for robbery on Wednesday night, the third case was filed against some 200 unidentified persons with Akbarshah thana for lynching dacoits.
Locals beat three alleged robbers to death and detained five others in the city’s north Kattali area Wednesday morning.
Police recovered one gun, one light gun, three big knives, one hockey stick and three rounds of bullet after the incident.
