A Chittagong court on Wednesday remanded three Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd (BTCL) officials in two bribery cases.
BTCL divisional office Chief Assistant Giusuddin and telephone operator Humayun Kabir were remanded for two days each in a case filed with Kotwali Police Station by Anti-Corruption Commission.
In another case filed with the station, the two and BTCL Divisional Engineer Pradip Das were placed on one-day remand each, said ACC’s public prosecutor Mesbah Uddin Chowdhury. An ACC team arrested them in their Nandankanan office in Chittagong on August 17.
