Police recovered three bodies of a family from Cholon Beel at Gatdhari village in Tarash upazila of the district yesterday morning.
The deceased were Altaf Hossain, 37, a Madrasha teacher, his daughter Alifa Khatun, 8, and son Nafil Hossain, 6, resident of the same area.
Being informed by locals, a team of police from Tarash Thana rushed to the spot and recovered the floating bodies from the Beel.
Family sources said Altaf Hossain along with his two children went to the Beel for fishing on Monday and since then they were missing.
Officer-in-Charge of Tarash Thana Aminul Islam said police are conducting investigation to know whether it was a matter of drowning or not.
A case was filed in this connection.
