Three bodies were recovered from the city’s Gulshan, Mohammadpur and Kamrangirchar areas on Sunday.
At Gulshan, a 40-year-old named Salauddin was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room of Hotel Center Point in Gulshan where he used to work.
Md Joynul Abedin, Sub -Inspector of Gulshan Police Station confirmed the news to media.
Later, police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy where autopsy
determined Salauddin committed suicide by hanging, SI added.
The deceased Salauddin was son of one Ayuib Ali from Khalishpur upazila of Khulna.
At Kamrangirchar, Hanif Hawlader, 35, hanged himself by wrapping a scarp around the ceiling fan of his room in Kamrangirchar. Later, Rina Akther, his wife, rushed him to the hospital but duty doctors declared him dead.
DMCH Police Outpost in-charge Bacchu Miah told the incident.
At Mohammadpur, a teenage boy named Ovi, 17 died after falling off the rooftop of a building in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Sunday morning.
Abul Kamal Azad, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station confirmed the incident to media that Ovi fell down from the rooftop of Mayuri Vila at bus stand intersection.
