A college student committed suicide at Bhatara and two more bodies were recovered from the city’s Khilgaon and Gulshan areas on Thursday night and Friday respectively, police said.
A student of Cambrian School and College was found dead in the room of his college hostel at Bhatara. The deceased has been identified as Md Saiful
Islam, 18, a first year student of the college.
Mohammad Sarwar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhatara Police Station, said that police recovered the body around 9:00am from his room and it might be a case of suicide.
Police arrested a man in this connection, the OC said.
On the other hand, Police recovered the body of a woman from the city’s Tilpapara area on Friday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Parvin, 40.
Khilgaon Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) confirmed the matter.
Police recovered another woman’s hanging body from the city’s Gulshan area on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Nayar Sultana, 30.
Police sources said that Nayar might have committed suicide over family feud.
Gulshan Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam told it.
