Three people riding a motorcycle died Thursday on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway after getting crushed under the wheels of a truck at Mohishluti of Sirajganj’s Tarash.
“Another person, who was among the four riders, got injured. The identities of the deceased and injured men could not be confirmed immediately,” said Md Lutfor Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station.
“A motorcycle carrying four riders was heading towards Hatikumrul in
the evening. As they reached Mohishluti area, a Bonpara-bound truck ran over them, leaving three of them dead and another one injured,” said the OC.
“Locals rushed the injured man to Bongamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital. On reaching the spot, police recovered the bodies and are trying to find out their identities. A case has been filed at Tarash Police Station,” he said.
