3 arrested with 25,500 Yaba pills in Lohagara

Police have arrested three drug dealers in Lohagara along with 25,500 yaba pills.
The detainees are Abdul Gafur (42) son of late Syed Ahmed of Golapara area of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district, Jahangir Prakash Rafiq,(19) son of late Abdul Mabud of Ukhiya Kutupalong area and Tofazzal Hossain(22) son of late Bachchu Miah of Gazipur Joydebpur Bararul area.
It is learned that in separate operations on Wednesday night, a police team led by SI Golam Kibria searched a passenger bus in front of the Chunti Forest Range office on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway and found 5,500 yaba from Gafur and Jahangir and a covered van from Hossain at the same spot.
 Officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station Jaker Hossain Mahmud said a case was filed against the arrested drug dealers under the Narcotics Control Act. He said they were sent to Chittagong court on Thursday morning.
