Court Correspondent :The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday placed three suspects, including two spiritual leaders of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on a five-day remand each in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Magistrate Raihanul Islam of the CMM Court passed the order after hearing on pleas to put them on remand. Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) Inspector, Azizul Haque produced them to the court seeking a 10-day remand each to quiz them.The accused people are: AHM Khairul Asad Sohag, 38, technical assistant of JMB, Md Kafil Uddin Bani Amin, 45, and Mir Moazzem Hossain Saifi alias Damin, 29. Sohag, who is an engineer by profession, would work at a mobile company. Earlier, detectives arrested them from the city’s Uttara area on Saturday night. The law enforcers also recovered huge radical books from their possession. Momin Khan, Sub-Inspector of Uttara East Police Station, filed a case against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
