A contingent of Rab-6 arrested three persons including two women on the charge of selling a girl of Bagerhat at a prostitute in Khulna divisional town after alluring her for marriage on Sunday. According to a report received here. The arrested persons were handed over to Rampal PS in Bagerhat district on the sane day. The arrested persons are Sayed Azizul Hakim Bappi, son of one Sayed Ilyas of Tegharia area under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district, Lovely Begum (40), daughter of one Mannan Kazi of Khulna Boyra Central Road and Shahin Khatun (20), daughter of one Sabur Ali of village Mohabbotpur under Gungni Upazila in Meherpur district.
It is learnt from RAB-6 source that in the month of last April Sayed Azizul Hakim Bappi took away the victim from her village House Malidanga within Rampal Sadar Union Paishad to Khulna town where he married her after forcing her to put (her) signatures on some fake marriage deeds. After a few days of the so called marriage Azizul Hakin Bappi handed over the victim to Lovely Begum, the gang leader at an unauthorised brothel area for Tk.50 thousand. Later she was forced to adopt prostitution profession in the face of physical torture by some 3/4 unknown women. Finding no other alternative, the victim surrendered to this illegal profession for long six months under Lovely Begum.
At one stage she guessed that some of the girls including she will be smuggled to India. In theses circumstances, she took a great risk and fled away from the brothel tactfully, took shelter in her father’s residence and disclosed the matter to the family members. By this time Azizul Hakim made viral her naked pictures taken into his camera in order to blackmail her and stigmatize her character. In this connection, brother of the victim lodged a written complaint to RAB-6 headquartersr. Then a contingent of investigation branch of RAB-6 made an enquiry into the matter secretly. The enquiry team arrested the gang at Saturday night.
